What are the opportunities for undertaking Professional Practice interstate or overseas?
Professional Practice can be completed interstate or overseas provided the laboratory is able to provide the range of learning experiences required in the program. It is not possible to complete all of the Professional Practice placement overseas and continue to be in receipt of a bursary. Periods of 10 to 13 weeks can be completed in overseas laboratories provided the Discipline is satisfied that the laboratory can provide experiences relevant to the aims and objectives of the program. Students on overseas placement for up to 13 weeks are able to continue receiving their bursaries. Since 1997, students have undertaken overseas placement in Thessaloniki in Greece, Kuching in Malaysia, Karlstad and Malmo in Sweden, Pittsburgh, Los Angeles, Miami, Lodz in Poland, Padua in Italy, Skopje in Macedonia, Edinburgh, Belfast, Galway, Southampton, London, Ho Chi Minh city, New York and Split in Croatia.
