What are the opportunities for business internships?
This past year we had offered a business internship course, but were not successful in being able to secure any internship positions for students now in China. Our goal is to be able to offer some in the future; however at this time we can not guarantee that there will be any in place for the MAIS students starting next summer. We are hopeful that we may have a few to offer, but if we do they would go to those most qualified for them. We have found in the past 4 years of the program that students are presented with multiple business opportunities and contacts that develop through their teaching contacts with Chinese parents and colleagues. In fact several of our past students now work for International businesses in China and they made these connections through their teaching positions. One thing we have found is that the best way to understand and appreciate a culture and people is to work with the children in the culture. This leads to a foundational level of knowledge and friendship
