What are the odds of success when applying to the CWHD Completion Fund?
• To date there has only been one round of grants for which the competition was very high. At the July 15, 2008 deadline there were 46 eligible applications requesting a total of just over $3M CDN. Six projects were selected for grants totaling $258,000. These statistics will be made available after each round of grants. How much should I ask for? I notice the maximum amount is $100,000 or 20% of the budget, whichever is lower. • You are best advised to request an amount that the project needs. Please keep in mind that the average total amount per deadline available to the Selection Committee for Completion Fund grants is approximately $220,000. We anticipate that each round will be highly competitive and a grant at the maximum amount will be very rare.
