A multi-million pound hotel opening in Liverpool next month is offering Facebook users the chance to get rooms for just £1. base2stay, located on Seel Street in the historic RopeWalks district, is asking members of its fan page on Facebook to declare their love for the boutique hotel and they will get a room for one night at the heavily discounted rate in return. For the month of July, the first 50 users to comment on the cue from base2stay Liverpool’s status update with “I love base2stay” will get a room in August for just £1.* The hotel arrives in the city following the success of its flagship venture in London’s Kensington. It will be the second base2stay hotel in the country. Robert Nadler, chief executive of base2stay, said: “We want base2stay to act as a friendly guide for hotel guests when they visit the city, so the Facebook group will also offer tips on the best places to eat, drink and be seen.
