The Golden Arrow Award is bestowed on deserving Arrowmen by the Lodge. The requirement is simply outstanding or noteworthy service to the OA at the Chapter or Lodge level. There are no age, length of service, or OA membership designation requirements. As with all three of these awards, anyone may nominate an Arrowman, and nomination forms are available at the Donald W. Reynolds Scout Service Center or at the Lodge Web Site. The Vigil Honor nomination requirements are set by the National OA Committee and are outlined in the OA Handbook and the Guide for Officers and Advisers (please refer to them for more specific information). Basically an Arrowman should have shown “distinguished service” to the OA at the Chapter or Lodge level and must have been a Brotherhood member for a period of two years or more. Annually a Vigil Selection Committee, represented by Ordeal, Brotherhood, and Vigil youth members vote on candidates to receive the Vigil Honor. Based on Lodge size, there is a quota of
