What Are the Newest Drugs for ADHD?
Overview There is a wide array of drugs available for the treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), but most of them are simply different formulations of the same chemicals, with differences in rate of delivery, duration and abuse potential. Vyvanse Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) is the most recently approved drug for ADHD. According to the manufacturer, it is an amphetamine “pro-drug” that must be metabolized in the gut before it becomes active.
