The constellation of Taurus really only has one star of note within it, which is the red giant ALDEBARAN – the so called ‘Eye of the Bull’ There are however other items of interest visible within (although not related to) the constellation. These are the open star clusters the Hyades (Kids) and Pleiades (Seven Sisters). Also the Crab Nebula, a ring of dust and cloud that is thought to be the remnants of a supernova in 1054AD.
