What are the most valuable stamps in the world?
Philately is the study of postage stamps. Most stamp collectors are also into philately while some just collect the kind of stamp they happen to like. Still others collect only rare stamps, as an investment. There are a few stamps that could make a person wealthy. Do you know what they are? One extremely rare stamp is called the Inverted Jenny. As the name might suggest, there is an image inverted on this particular stamp, put out in 1918. The inverted airplane was an accident and not be design, of course, so as soon as the error was caught, that was the end of the Inverted Jenny stamp. One estimate I saw on this particular, and very rare stamp, was $150,000. Amazing for a little patch of paper, huh? The most valuable stamp in the world is supposedly the Treskilling Yellow Swedish stamp. However, I can’t find anything online as to what it is actually worth but only that it is the most valuable stamp ever put out..
