Each browser reports a string called user agent string. This string can be parsed for browser name, version, operating system, language. For example: English version of Firefox 1.5 on Windows XP. No personal information is contained in the user agent string so visitor’s privacy is not affected. Our database maintains a collection of over one hundred thousand different user agents.
