What are the most dangerous countries in Europe?
There’s no really dangerous country within what you might know as the “former Western Europe”, and in eastern Europe, you’re also quite safe. Bulgaria and Romania may be states to avoid for tourists, as crime rates there are very high; but on the other hand, they don’t have real tourist attractions, too. In almost any bigger city in Europe, be it Berlin, Amsterdam, Prague, Paris, whatever, pickpocketing tourists traveling on public transport is sort of sports among younger people, so you should take care of your belongings and take the usual safety precautions, like, never carry your money in the rear pocket of your jeans. Also, there are places you should avoid at night; but the locals will tell you where it is safe to go and where not.
