Mostly consumers are duped in the following ways- goods are not measured or weighed correctly, are of sub-standard quality or defective, medicines beyond the expiry date are sold, over-pricing, spurious goods, duplicate articles are sold, and adulterated or impure food and other restrictive or unfair trade practices may be followed. Bad post-sales services are also very common.
