If it was easy, it would pay worse! Bear in mind that the different disciplines require different skills and strengths, and that there are subfields in each discipline that are easier or harder – this is not an absolute list. In general, Aerospace, Chemical, Electrical, and Biomedical are the top tier, because of the difficult math, chemistry, physics, and biology respectively. After that you have Architectural, Computer, Materials, Mechanical, and Nuclear, which are still hard compared to most college fields. Finally you have Agricultural, Civil, and Industrial, generally the easiest. This order also gives you an approximate idea of pay scale – the hardest pay the best.
