The Moray Council is bound by European and National targets, though the Moray Waste Strategy aims, amongst other things, to reduce Municipal Solid Waste by 1% each year through education and composting initiatives, achieve 40% participation rates in home composting by 2010, and recycle 25% of household waste by 2006.
