What are the minimum training requirements to be a dental assistant and medical receptionist?
The healthcare industry is a fast growing industry so there is a larger demand placed on medical and dental practices in seeking staff. As there is a shortage of Dental Assistants within the dental industry, dental practitioners are now required to seek Dental Assistants with minimal or no dental assisting experience to train. Indigo Medical & Dental Training introduced our Introduction to Dental Assisting to provide basic dental assisting training to jobseekers to enable jobseekers to gain an entry level position and to alleviate the shortage of Dental Assistants. Previous experience in reception, customer service and administration skills can be transferrable in a Medical Receptionist position, however undertaking a course in Medical Reception provides an advantage to a jobseeker in gaining employment within the medical industry as you have an understanding of the roles and responsibilities and alleviates the employer providing that initial training.
