What are the minimum standards for an IACUC?

Programs are responsible for checking directly with the Act for current information. AWA regulations state the committee shall be composed of a Chairman and at least two additional members. Research facilities which must meet Public Health Service requirements must have at least 5 members. It is highly recommended that programs consider having more than the minimum 3 members, in order to allow for quorum requirements and conflicts of interest on votes.
