The recommended platforms are Windows NT, Windows XP and Windows Vista. Although Windows 98 can be used for preparing international applications in PCT-EASY mode, it is strongly recommended that one of the higher supported operating systems be used. (With Unicode support a pre-requisite for electronic filing, Windows 98 is not suitable for preparing international application data in the fully electronic filing mode.
