What are the minimum requirements to apply for a passenger endorsement?
You must be at least 21 years of age, you must have a basic NJ automobile driver license (class D) that has been valid for the past 3 years, you must meet U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) vision requirements and you must meet DOT physical fitness requirements. You are required to complete a state criminal background investigation (i.e. fingerprints) and you must supply completed DOT medical forms before taking your road test. If you are within 3 years of a DUI violation, your application for the passenger endorsement may be rejected.
