There is no minimum flying hours required for trainee pilots except the fact that you hold a valid CPL (commercial pilot license) with multi-engine & instrument flying ratings endorsed in it. Yes, for senior pilots (ATPL holders) there is a requirement of 1500 to 2000 hrs. But you will need two things to join Kingfisher or any other private airlines: (a) References or a relative (in the same profession) will be of help. (b) Ready to shell out approx. 15 Lacs to get trained on the Airbus simulators (as Kingfisher flies Airbuses; for Jet you will have to pay for Boeing simulator trainings). This will allow you to get absorbed as a co-pilot upon completion. If you choose to train on your own on these two aircrafts simulator type then things would be easier for you as airlines would prefer a well trained pilot readily available to take the controls, though its not easy.
