What are the minimal network requirements to support the V2D?
A. Network requirements are generally dictated by the application rather than by limitations in the V2D. Our compression algorithms are remarkably flexible and put a host of compression parameters at the user’s disposal to vary according to the application being transported. For example, a user can vary the compression ratio depending on whether they are viewing a highly dynamic image or one that is quasi-static. Thanks to this flexibility we have seen customers dedicate as little as 500 kbit/s to some applications. For highly complex, interactive, graphical simulations a 20 Mbit/s data link might be more appropriate.
