What are the medical considerations for selection?
A cadet pilot on the Future Pilot Programme must hold a valid JAA Class 1 medical certificate to enter training. This is issued in the UK at the Civil Aviation Authority’s medical centre near London Gatwick Airport. This initial medical examination and validation starts the beginning of a career long process of medical revalidations that all pilots must complete.
