What are the medical and vaccination boarding requirements for puppies under 1 year?
Your puppy must have reached a minimum age of 13 weeks prior to boarding. Your puppy must have completed all required vaccinations (including Rabies) prior to boarding. Please note that the Rabies vaccination cannot be legally administered until your puppy is 12 weeks of age. All puppies must have been examined by their veterinarian within 6 to 12 months of boarding. One of the following is required for boarding: (1) A negative fecal check within 6 months prior to boarding, or (2) deworming (by a veterinarian) followed by a negative fecal check within 6 months prior to boarding. If your puppy was found to have worms at his last fecal exam, he must have completed all prescribed medication and must be RETESTED and NEGATIVE before he can board. We highly recommend that you start your puppy on monthly heartworm preventative at 3 months of age or younger (check with your veterinarian for the proper age to start). We highly recommend administration of this preventative once a month year roun
