What are the mechanical mixing options on Speakman sensor faucet?
The first option is a unit with an under-counter mixer. This is a mechanical mixer that simply sets the ratio of hot and cold water by restricting the flow of hot water. Water pressure changes and variances of temperature of water in the hot water lines can affect the temperature of the water delivered. Often the alternative selected in healthcare environments or in executive type offices is a unit with an above-counter mixer. This allows the user to adjust the temperature to their individual needs. Speakman’s above-counter mixers also incorporate a temperature limit stop (TLS). The TLS mechanically limits the ability to open the mixer beyond a selected point. It should be noted that the TLS prevents scalding, but with a significant drop in cold water pressure scalding could occur, just like with a standard mechanical faucet.
