What are the measurable impacts/outcomes of AUFY programs?
Upon enrollment, each student in an AUFY program works with our staff to determine and achieve his/her learning goals. Our youth improve their weekly and End-of-Year testing scores in math, reading, and science, and their school report cards reflect these improvements. Our youth renew their spirit and positive outlook for learning. Their families, parents, and teachers note and reflect these changes. These youth stay in school, and they return to our safe environment to continue their after-school learning. Our Site Coordinators also document and assess each student’s performance on his/her personal goals and the goals of Athletes United for Youth. Thus far, more than 83% of youth participating in our programs have been significantly and positively impacted through our structured curricula and activities. We’ve seen positive changes in our communities too.
