What are the master plan projects currently in planning?
UMass Boston is currently focusing on planning for priority projects that will be developed within the first 10 years (or phase one) of the 25-year campus master plan. These projects include the development of a new Integrated Sciences Complex, a general academic building, and various road and utility improvements. The campus, in collaboration with the Commonwealth’s Division of Capital Asset Management, is also working on analyses and studies that will shape the development of a campus-wide space allocation plan. Soon the campus will begin detailed planning on additional Phase One projects including the development of a second general academic building, and the demolition of the Science Center and substructure.
