Using my past experience, I have divided the tools into three categories—Machining, Fabricating, and Other. • CNC Machining Centers o Lathes or Turning Centers o Mills, Milling Machines, Horizontal Machining Center, Vertical Machining Center o Precision Grinders o Electro-Discharge Machining Center • Sheet Metal or Fabrication Centers o Flame Cutting Machines o Plasma Arc Machines o Laser Cutting Machines o Water Jet Cutting Machines o Welding Machines (both spot and MIG) o Turret Punch Machines o Press Brake Machines o Forming Machines (wire, pipe, other) • Other o Large Format Printing o Cloth Cutting Machines o Lumber Cutting Machines o Glue Application Machines o Routing Machines (wood or plastic) This list is in no way comprehensive.
