• A new requirement to file monthly returns has been implemented. Monthly returns are required if there has been oral and arranged communication with a designated public office holder, changes to the information in a return, a termination of lobbying activities or if six months have passed since the last return was filed. The first returns under this new requirement will be due no later than August 15, 2008. • Lobbyists will now have only 10 days to make corrections to a registration when requested to do so by the Commissioner of Lobbying. • Only on-line registrations will be accepted, unless registrants are unable to use a computer due to a physical disability or lack reasonable access to a computer system. • When disclosing the subject matter of their lobbying activity, registrants must now disclose a name and a description to provide details of the subject matter they have identified.
