What are the major differences between the current and draft LEP format?
There are significant new inclusions in the new LEP format that go beyond simple zoning regulations that will allow more certainty around land use. These inclusions outline what would be required in the area for development to occur. As the new LEP format is based on a standard, statewide format, it will be easier to access planning information across the state. The plan has a mandatory structure, zone classifications and definitions. These may not be altered and no other definitions may be added.
