What are the major challenges in the SAARC region?
There’s a commonality between challenges in countries such as India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Lack of infrastructure is one of the main hurdles. If operators can cooperate, customers will be able to enjoy better roaming rates. There can be more cooperation for content and other applications. Bharti Airtel is set to launch services in Sri Lanka. But have you had a bitter experience because of lack of cooperation…. We believe the telecom regulator in Sri Lanka wants to do the right thing.
