What are the main responsibilities of a child care worker?
1) I answer as an Advanced Early YEars Practitioner and SENCO so my responsibilities are: -educational needs of the children (planning and assessment of this) -completing their achievement records -Supporting transition into preschool and when they leave for next setting -Liasie with parents and carers -Liasie with other professionals who may be involved. -Playing with the children and interacting with them. -Giving children care and supporting well-being -Support safe guarding and ensuring they are well and happy and safe from harm. -Ensure they enjoy preschool -encourgae social skills -attend staff meetings -attend training and update skills. -plan curriculum and termly events. 2) Lots of independence in the job-you have to think of your feet and not rely solely on others. Of course you have to work as a team and contribute but you also need to ensure your own time keeping, record keeping, relaitonships with child and families etc. you get to plan your own activities and ensure they
