I couldn’t tell you about percentages but France is predominately a Catholic nation although with it’s proximity to North Africa there is a growing Muslim population here.

Catholicism, I think Islam is also growing in France but Catholicism is the largest Christian denomination and religion in France.

Well, while those that do believe in god are mostly catholic…they are a minority. Nearly 2/3rds of people in France are either agnostic or atheists. While not a religion, I would say it might be something to mention in a paper based on religious beliefs (or the lack there off). If you do mention atheists, don’t make us the bad guys, we are not evil/satanists/monsters. You will find we are much like you…
