What are the main plan design elements of the Total Health Plan? How do they work together?
Preventive Care – With the Total Health Plan, preventive care expenses are covered 100%. Participants don’t use the Healthcare Fund or pay anything out of pocket. The Summary Plan Description provides details of what’s covered for preventive care. (see question 3 for more details) Healthcare Fund – The Healthcare Fund is a credit you receive each year. The Healthcare Fund is used first to help pay for medical expenses under the plan for you and your covered dependents. If you don’t use all of your Healthcare Fund in one year, the remaining amount rolls over to the next year. You can’t use the Healthcare Fund for prescription drugs or for mental health and substance abuse expenses.Your Healthcare Fund dollars apply to your out-of-pocket maximum.
