What are the main methods to control pigeons?
Northampton Borough Council provides an effective pest control advisory service to the community where nuisance birds are concerned. Scientific research has proved conclusively that all lethal methods of control are ineffective in the medium and long-term reduction of pigeon numbers. Pigeons control their own numbers very effectively according to the food source available to them. This is why it is so important that the public do not feed the pigeons! A number of proofing measures can be carried out to buildings where pigeons are a problem, details of which can be obtained from the Council’s pest control service.
