Granite is a natural stone, polished to a glossy surface. It is porous; requires periodic re-sealing. ZODIAQ, manufactured by DuPont, is a solid, glossy, “engineered” countertop material composed mainly of quartz; it’s non-porous and doesn’t require sealing. CORIAN, also a DuPont product, is non-porous, easy to keep clean, and seamless in appearance. Both CORIAN and ZODIAQ have a 10-year warranty.
