What are the main differences between education in India and what you have experienced here at Foothill?
The main difference that I have noticed is that the teacher-student bond here is much friendlier, and professors are much more approachable and helpful. In India, we respect our professors, but there is much more distance between students and their teachers. Here classes are more interactive, casual, and teachers respect students opinions. Teachers here are more open to different perspectives, and there is a lot more interaction and dialog within the classroom. I have also noticed that there are a lot more extracurricular activities and chances to get involved and have fun on campus. There are a lot of options for activities outside of the classroom.
I was not able to understand your question that much. But education in India is changing. Students here previously use to respect professors and faculties. Things are changing now. The friendly relation between faculties and students in one hand is helping students in their studies, on the other hand it also is creating trouble.
