There are several main and optional components of IntraVUE, and each of them operates as a windows service. They are: IntravueScanner. This service continuously monitors the configured networks checking for device disconnections, new devices added, threshold data from SNMP MIB data fields, and Traps. IntraVUEServer. The user interface is a patented technology developed by Inxight Inc. and called “Star Tree”. This utilizes a hyperbolic visualization methodology that allows a very complex network to be displayed on a single screen. It also acts as a web server and interface between the client browser and the database. Relational Database. Intravue currently uses MySQL to store scanned information, administrator configurations, and events. ivLink is an optional package that provides data import/export functions, Modbus/TCP monitoring, and access to the database through XML queries.
