What are the main components of a Training Package?
Training Packages include three mandatory components which are endorsed by the National Quality Council (NQC). These are the: • Competency Standards provide units of competency that describe discrete workplace outcomes, with each unit having a unique code and title • Assessment Guidelines describe the industry requirements for assessment • Qualifications Framework detail how the units of competency are ‘packaged’ into nationally recognised qualifications. The framework also provides the unique codes and titles for these qualifications, and information about skill sets. These three mandatory components are referred to as the endorsed components of a Training Package. The endorsed components of a Training Package form the basis for delivery and assessment of a Training Package.
