What are the main characteristics of rodents?
Rodents are warm blooded and are distinguished from other mammals by their incisor teeth that continue to grow throughout their life, which means that they need to continually gnaw at abrasive substances to keep them at a manageable length. Rodents are generally nocturnal creatures who are drawn towards human habitation by the availability of food, warmth and a source of water. Rats and mice move rapidly, are excellent climbers and also active burrowers.
