What are the main causes of Water Pollution ?
Industry and agriculture are the biggest water polluters. Air pollution emissions from sources such as motor vehicles, factories and heating boilers are washed out of the air by rain and into ground water and water courses. When pesticides, herbicides and fertilisers are used excessively, the chemicals wash back into rivers and streams.
