By far the greatest benefit of online testing is in the time and resources saved in scoring and reporting. Further, online systems are less likely than humans to make a mistake when scoring 200 (or even one!) candidate answer sheets! Depending on the test, online testing often provides highly professional reports similar to the kinds of reports that are generated by expensive report generating software. Online testing gives added flexibility in delivering tests remotely (see the question above for important information relating to remote testing) and with online testing, the practitioner need never be caught short of test papers or need to keep a large inventory (paid for in advance) just in case.
