What are the main activities of the EnLight project?
The work programme for the EnLight project is divided in six phases (1-6). Each of the Phases includes its relevant activities: Phase 1: Data collection • Data collection on existing lighting system and various lighting requirements. Aim is to realise how large the energy consumption by outdoor lighting is and how much energy and therefore money can be saved by improving this situation. • Specification of evaluation criteria and suitable options for implementation of energy efficient measures. • Preliminary cost benefit analysis – preliminary cost analysis is carried out to determine the installation costs and the current costs for operation, maintenance and energy. • Organization of regional conferences to present the current lighting situation to local authorities and the public and raise awareness for improvement. Phase 2: Specification • Definition of a common approach to evaluate energy efficient lighting. In order to define lighting evaluation criteria each partner examines natio
