What are the Maclellan Family Foundations?
The Maclellan Family Foundations were created by members of the Maclellan family, descended from Thomas Maclellan, one of the founders of the Provident Companies, Inc. of Chattanooga, Tennessee (See Family History). Through their personal testimony and the consistency of their lives, the Maclellan family members and other trustees have been and are, individually and organizationally, committed to the infallibility of the Scripture, to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and to the fulfillment of the Great Commission: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19). Tipton Charitable Trust, and the Christian Education Charitable Trust.
