What are the long term effects of ecstacy?
Ignore the first post feel that is a pathetic answer, unhelpful and pointless. Ecstasy impairs the function and long term production of serotonin, a brain chemical playing a role in regulating mood memory, sleep, and appetite in the long term according to studies. I myself used to regularly take ecstasy at weekends and dance the night away… I have since slowed down with this now as I noticed quite bad feelings of despair for silly reasons like if it was raining, a monday, i didnt go out. I decided that it was due to the over use of this drug. Speed on the other hand I am not so into, it is said that you can become dependant on this drug but if you quit so long ago then that is not a problem. I understand that the side effects are loss of weight and insomnia but that is during usage. To be honest I wouldnt worry too much about your memory loss as it is normal to forget things occasionally! If you are really worried a doctor is always a friendly confidential ear.
