What are the long term effects of a concussion? Should I be worried?

A concussion is a form of minor brain trauma and as such the long term side effects could be ones that last a lifetime. People who have hit their heads have actually shown major personality changes with no noticeable signs of trauma. The type of trauma can range from micro-abrasions to a concussion but if you are noticing changes to your range of movement, coordination and speech patterns I would be concerned enough to see a dr as soon as possible to really look into a true diagnosis as the earlier something like this is caught the better. Long term memory could be affected but if you can recall the incident and do not have any memory problems now it is unlikely you have any retrograde or anterograde amnesias.
