What are the long-range funding needs of the AARC Foundation?
The AARC Foundation is embarking on a very substantial fundraising campaign, in tandem with the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation and the Toronto General & Western Hospital Foundation. Together, the Foundations will be raising funds for their respective areas within University Health Network over the next 5 years. The AARC Foundation will be seeking philanthropic support for the Arthritis & Autoimmunity Research Centre, and for research-related activities in the divisions of Rheumatology and Orthopaedic Surgery at UHN. Academic research “chairs” are a major part of our campaign. A research chair is an academic appointment of distinction, allowing UHN to retain or to recruit the “best and brightest” researcher in a particular area through an endowment providing salary and research support in perpetuity.
