What are the logistics of a piece from conception to completion?
The majority of the time, I will not start a piece until I know exactly what I want to execute. I am not a “let’s see if this would look cool” kind of guy. Usually an observation or heard phrase will plant the seed of where I want to go. I’ll then think about it until the final product is confirmed. I believe genius is knowing when to stop, and I employ the rule of thumb that I stop when I cry at a piece’s power.
