What are the little black beetles on my yellow flowers?

If they are tiny shiny black beetles they are probably pollen beetles. They are completely harmless and are attracted especially (but not exclusively) to anything yellow – I wear a yellow hi-vis vest sometimes for work and they are attracted to that by the dozen. They are a problem for farmers of oilseed rape – which has yellow flowers.
