What are the links between mentoring, reviewing and the line manager role?

0

The discussions with the mentor, reviewer and line manager are confidential, and the record of the review meetings will be treated as confidential, as with any other personal information maintained by the line manager. The reviewer may for example wish to discuss aspects of target setting with the line manager, similarly the mentor may wish to raise something on the individuals behalf with the line manager. However this should only be done with the prior agreement of the person being mentored. There should be clear agreement, between all parties concerning the confidentiality of any of these discussions. The mentor has no role in the assessment process.
