The connector system is designed and tested to allow a 0.030″ displacement. The guide pins and bushings will pick up the 0.030″ displacement and correct the connector placement to allow the male blades to pick up the insulator which provides the final guidance. Float is controlled by blade and closed entry feature. Blade is nominally .018″ thick; closed entry feature is nominally 0.026″ wide. Connector float is +/- 0.004″ under all tolerance conditions. 14.
