Avid DS version 10 can now connect to an Interplay Media Indexer (or HAG) allowing Avid DS to access the media via the same indexer as Media Composer/Symphony v3.0 and higher. This streamlines the workflow between Media Composer and Avid DS on Interplay. Customers can also drag and drop masterclips and Media Composer sequences from an Interplay Access window into an Avid DS project. Avid also enabled the checkin of a consolidated Avid DS sequences as one master clip in Interplay, allowing enhanced collaboration in a Media Composer environment. Check in/out is supported, however “Send to Playback” is not supported.
