What are the limitations of optical sensor fingerprint door locks?
Optical sensor scans your finger — it functions like a camera, and obtains your fingerprint image indirectly. You may have similar kind of experience: when a government agency takes your fingerprint, someone will check your fingerprint to see if it is visible. Then, they will put some lotion on your finger, and the operator will press your finger on scanner to take your fingerprint. Optical sensor works in a similar way, so it needs good visible finger, clean finger surface, not too dry and so on. According to our experience, optical sensor does not work for everyone. In one case, one person?s fingerprint cannot be recognized despite three other family members have not experienced any difficulty when using the lock equipped with optical sensor.
